1.    And (sejajar)

Example:

Examle:

3.     Eventhough => kondisi (-) hasil (+)

Example:

Ø Eventhought ram didn’t studied, he passed the even

4.     Althought => kondisi (+) hasil (-)

Examle:

Ø Althought ram had studied very hard, he didn’t score well

v - Because, although, eventhoug + clause (s+v)

v - Because of, due to, in spite of / despite + noun (kata benda)

Example:

·        Because of you, I got an accident

·        Because I got an accident, I have only one leg

Conditional sentence (Kalimat pengandayan)

 

1.   If + v1/be1(am,is,are), Modals 1 (Will, must, may,can) + v1

è Real, mungkin terjadi

Example:

1.     If  I have money, I will go to LA

2.     If she goes there, she will meet her

3.     If I have enaught apples, I will bake an apple pie

2.    If + v2/were, Modals 2 (would, could, might) + v1

èUnreal, bertentangan dengan sekarang (tidak mungkin terjadi)

Example:

1.     If I were a president, I would overcome the corruption

ð I’m not a president

2.     If I were you, I would go with him

ð I’m not you

 3.  If + had+v3/ had been, modals 2 (would, could, might) + have + v3

             è Unreal, bertentangan dengan masa lalu

             Example:

1.     If  I had been a president, I would have jailed the corruptor

ð I was not a president

2.     If you had gone the yesterday, you would have met him

ð I was not gone
